Tymms agreed to remain in the role after talking with the Bloods player list.
He has been at Melton four years, spending the first season as assistant coach to Brad Murphy.
In the two campaign Melton has taken to the field under his guidance, it has reach a grand final and preliminary final.
The Bloods lost the premiership battle to East Point by two points in 2018 in their first finals campaign since 2007.
Tymm's re-appointment leaves North Ballarat City as the only club to make a coaching announcement for 2021.
