Hind made 67 (7 fours) off only 95 balls – importantly, being at the crease when the winning run came up right on the afternoon tea break.
Although chasing a winning target of only 135, resuming at 2-14 meant North Ballarat would need to be on its game.
Ballarat-Redan firmed as favourite with two early wickets to have the Roosters at 4-22.
Hind and James Montano, 20, turned the fortunes around with a 48-run stand, but when the latter’s stumps were spread-eagled by Chris Egan the game again swung.
Two wickets in the space of one run had North Ballarat 6-71 and staring down the barrel.
Hind was joined by Scott Wright, 66 not out(4 fours) to put on a match-winning 69.
Chris Edwards finished with the best figures of 3-32 for Ballarat-Redan, which will be disappointed to let this game slip in a low-scoring affair.
It gives North Ballarat two wins and fourth spot, and a winnable assignment against Brown Hill next round.
Ballarat-Redan will also have an opportunity to bounce back against Coronet City.
