BALLARAT East's Rice Street has been blocked off to traffic after a house fire this morning.
Four fire trucks and Ballarat police are on the scene, with the fire brought under control about 12pm.
A 55-year-old man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation before being taken to Ballarat Base Hospital by ambulance.
