You’ll be working with one of the largest departments within the Public Service looking after Strategic Policy, Intelligence, Infrastructure, Health, Logistics, Education and Training to support our nation’s security.
Your new role
This is an exciting role where you will work in a strategic and multifaceted role in a complex and key area. The role of the Finance Group is to drive the financial and management improvement programs for National Security.
Duties within this role will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following;
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, ideally you will be CPA/ CA qualified with experience in management accounting. Demonstrated experience in budget preparation, forecasting, analysis and developing commentaries.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience in relaying financial advice to non-financial stakeholders, Competent use of Microsoft Excel (Intermediate or Advanced level) and ideally experience with SAP.
Capability to lead a team to meet deadlines, build productive working relationships is essential.
This role is only open to Australian citizens as you will require a minimum baseline that will be supplied by the department.
