Carpenter

AWS Services Vic Pty Ltd are in the lookout for a new team member to grow with us in this ever-expanding industry.

We are looking for a highly experienced full-time carpenter to join our team.

Salary:            $65,000 - $85,000 + superannuation

Position:         Carpenter

Mode:             Full time (38 hours per week)

Location:        Boronia VIC 3155 and servicing all areas

Experience:    At least 2-3 years’ experience and have good managerial skills.

Our company is an established and dynamic service provider operating throughout VIC, NSW, and WA. The team at AWS Services has the experience and the expertise to advise on and provide services that will best suit your project, to aid in minimizing expenses and downtime on your assets and operations.  

Your duties will include but may not be limited to:

• Erect buildings’ subflooring, sheathing, partitions, floor joists, hardwood flooring and stairs, studs and frames.
• Timber floor installing and removal.
• Follow safety rules and OH&S.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Study sketches and building plans and determine dimensions and materials as required. ·        Measure materials or objects for installation or assembly.
• Shape and cut materials and wood components to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level.
• Select and order timber or other required materials.
• Coordinate construction project activities.
• Prepare cost estimates for clients.  

Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

• Formal qualification/Training.
• 2-3 years’ carpentry experience.
• Strong leadership abilities
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work in a team
• Construction Induction/white card
• Understanding of health and safety laws
