Our client is a government agency based in Burwood that are need of an experienced Claims Officer to work in their Public Liabilities & Recoveries team. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add an additional officer to their team on a Temp - Perm basis. This client is also open to someone with a background in Law !
Your new role
Working as a Public Liabilities Officer you will be;
- Handling end to end Public Liabilities claims
- Liaising with Internal & External stakeholders to investigate liability
- Determining what information is needed to settle claim
- Providing updates on Claims progress
- Liaising with 3rd parties to attempt to recover
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful as a Public Liabilities officer, you will have;
- At least 5 years Claims experience
- Open to a more junior Legal background
- Competency in Excel and Microsoft office products is essential
- Have a solid knowledge of general Insurance legislation and statutory framework
- Proven high level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
What you'll get in return
