Senior Test Automation Engineer

Project Description

One of the Big four Bank is looking to set up a team to augment their testing requirement in order to fulfill their obligation around CFTC regulatory reporting and mitigate risk and meet the minimum requirement by end of Dec 2022.

Responsibilities

• Test Automation for various business areas across various applications in Capital Markets space
• Building and maintenance of automated test cases including templates, reusable test step blocks and classes. Creating executions and link them to requirements.
• Using client toolset in line with the Client's governance and guidance to guarantee reusability and smooth integration.
• Creating and maintaining test data mocking system
• Generation of Synthetic test data
• Conducting workshops with Business Stakeholders to clarify requirements and define test scenarios
• Defining the best method for implementing test automation (API, PDF Comparison and/or GUI testing, etc.)
• Test case design in methodological way
• Automation of test cases
• Troubleshooting with automation test scripts
• Scheduling and monitoring execution of automated test cases in Releases and/or Sprints
• Exploratory testing
• Proactively socialise and evangelise test automation best practices, act as a main accelerator of process improvements
• Communication with the various stakeholders at all levels
• Communicate the test progress with accurate reporting on a periodic basis (daily, weekly or as per phasing) to appropriate stakeholders

Skills

Must have

• Experience on Transaction reporting on Regulatory project
• Hands-on experience in test automation with Selenium and Robot
• In-depth knowledge of Test concepts and methodology
• Have an understanding of industry different delivery methods such as Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, Iterative Waterfall, and ETL
• Good JIRA knowledge
• Strong analytical skills and end-to-end view as well as strategic thinking and time management
• Ability to work successfully, both in a team and independently as well as stress resistant and able to perform in a fast-changing environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English
• Experience in executing and supporting all test phases, defect tracking and issue closures
• Proactive, self starter, autonomous & highly organized

Nice to have

• ISTQb certified
