SOUS CHEF 

 

$70,000-$75,000 plus tips

 

We are looking for a strong passionate Sous Chef to join our professional kitchen, surrounded by highly qualified chefs. 

Located in Elsternwick, we are looking for someone who wants to play a key role in our kitchen management team at this amazing venue. 

This a great opportunity for  you to display your skills and talent with a strong focus on training  and developing your team, as well as bring fresh ideas.

4 day working week so you can have real work life balance! 

Conveniently located next to Elsternwick train statioon for public transport and plenty of free all day parking.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE…

 

You will be experienced with but not limited to…..

 

  • menu development with the head chef, focusing on seasonal menu changes accommodating  to dietary requirements and allergies whist maintaining a high level of presentation.
  • Daily running of kitchen in head chefs absence 
  • Ability to motivate, train and  mentor the team.
  • Ordering of stock/ stock control
  • Organising sections to ensure smooth running of service
  • A strong focus on staff moral

 

The successful applicant will have…

 

  • excellent  verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for and knowledge of the restaurant industry
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to keep cool and calm under pressure 
  • minimum 3 years experience within a similar roll
