During searches on six properties in NSW on October 19, police seized approximately $50,000 in cash, a money counter, cryptocurrency wallets, electronics, a small amount of drugs and documents relevant to their investigation. The investigation began after a 37-year-old man in Vietnam was allegedly caught running a money laundering syndicate for organised crime groups in NSW. He was allegedly converting "large amounts" of cash into cryptocurrency for drug traffickers. Police said a "large-scale drug operation" was uncovered on NSW's Central Coast, leading to the arrest.
