Officers from the Hawkesbury Local Area Command visited pediatric patients and newborn babies at Hawkesbury Hospital on Wednesday as they continue to strengthen their relationship with the local community. Six officers had the pleasure of touring the hospital and meeting with some of the paediatric patients and also had the joy of meeting some of the newest members of the Hawkesbury community and their families in the maternity ward. The officers were also able to give the families a small gift for the new arrivals.  “We were also able to meet some of the amazing staff at Hawkesbury hospital who work tirelessly to provide health care to the Hawkesbury community,” Senior Constable Belinda Flynn said.  “The Hawkesbury Police pride themselves in working together with other agencies in the community and building on relationships with agencies such as the Hawkesbury Hospital.” Members of Hawkesbury  Police attended the hospital to provide a positive interaction with members of the community and to see the work that the staff at Hawkesbury District Health service do.    Hawkesbury Police hope to attend on an Annual basis to continue to strengthen the relationship with Hawkesbury hospital and the Hawkesbury community.
