The Jamie Edwards and Bruce Elkington-trained five-year-old, who stretched his winning sequence to five races with an impressive victory on Emirates Stakes Day at Flemington, will be nominated for the $200,000 feature.
Elkington told The Courier a decision on whether to run in the listed 2200m event would be made after seeing how the horse pulls up from trackwork this weekend.
Sertorius has won all five races this preparation, including victory in the Sale Cup and in a $100,000 handicap on the final day of the Flemington carnival.
The Ballarat Cup, won last year by Mick Kent-trained Domesky, is on Sunday, November 25.
