POLICE are hunting car thieves after two vehicles were stolen in Ballarat yesterday.

Ballarat Criminal Investigation Unit Detective Senior Constable Alanna McDonald said a blue Mazda 929 sedan was broken down and parked at the intersection of Cummins Road and Gillies Road in Mount Rowan.
Detective McDonald said the car was stolen sometime after 7.15am.
She said the car would have to have been towed and asked anyone who might have saw the car being taken away to contact police.
Police are also seeking witnesses to a car theft in Sebastopol yesterday afternoon.
Detective McDonald said a 2000 model silver BMW sedan was parked in the front yard of a home in Albert Street when it was stolen between 3pm and 3.45pm.
She said the owners of the car were inside at the time.
Anyone who has seen the car can contact police.
Police have charged two 19-year-old men with drug offences after a a raid on a Peel Street property yesterday.
A drugs search warrant was executed at the address, where two cannabis plants were located.
The Ballarat men were arrested, interviewed and bailed to appear at the Ballarat Magistrates Court next year.
