Girls in the search for love are currently outnumbering the guys in ticket sales for Waubra Wants a Wife and Waubra’s Farmer Matt, from this year’s Channel Nine reality series, wants to even it up.
“At the moment there’s about two girls to every guy, so we need some more blokes to buy tickets,” he said.
Matt said they were looking for at least another 100 men to even up the numbers at the Waubra Football and Netball Club fundraiser.
“I’ll be there on the night along with farmers Tom and Todd from this season’s series and Farmer Kev from last year’s show,” he said. “And there will be other fun things including fleece throwing and speed dating.”
Matt said some of the girls were coming from as far as Adelaide and Sydney for the event. “This event is also a really good thing for Ballarat,” he said.
Waubra Wants a Wife will be held at the Ballarat Mining Exchange on Saturday, November 17 from 7.30pm. Search Waubra Wants a Wife on Facebook or visit oztix.com.au for tickets.
