Police say the valuable watch and a ring were taken from the rear of a removalists truck in Walker Street, Sebastopol, sometime over the weekend.
The owners noticed the property missing on November 12.
The Chaumet watch and the Bulgari spring ring are together valued at almost $15,500.
Ballarat Criminal Investigation Unit Detective Senior Constable Alanna McDonald said the items were distinctive and called on the public’s assistant in solving the case.
Detective McDonald said the stolen items appear similar to those pictured.
