The Devils were quick to show their control of the game, scoring four goals in the first half only to repeat the high scoring in the second half.
Matthew Radojevic and Tom Young were solid in defence, but the Devils were too fast.
In one outstanding play, Charlie King went deep and passed a sharp cross to Kynan Taylor, one of Taylor’s two goals for the evening.
Liam Harding, Sean Harding and Charlie King were best on ground for the Devils, while Sam Young, Tim Beggs, Declan Hennessy and Paul McLounan were best for the Sebastopol Vikings.
Money raised from the match went towards the under-construction Ballarat Regional and Integrated Cancer Centre. The match also re-introduced the charity shield, which has not been played for since 2007.
The event is intended to become annual, where Ballarat’s state league two team Red Devils plays the season champion of the Ballarat and District Soccer League.
