‘TIS the season to be jolly and deck the walls with Christmas lights. More than 60 Ballarat residents have entered in The Courier’s annual Christmas Lights competition and now the fun part begins – voting.
If you’re feeling particularly jolly and can’t wait to drive around Ballarat to see the city’s festive decorating, then collect The Courier’s Christmas Lights map in today’s paper and visit our jolly entrants.
The Courier’s marketing manager Serena Eldridge said is the first year The Courier has introduced the Charity Fundraiser category.
“Sponsored by Bunnings, this prize will go to the person who raises the most funds for The Courier Charity Fund. There are 13 houses on the map with a red dot next to their address who have nominated to raise the funds. These houses will also receive lollies from Ryans IGA to give out to visitors between now and Christmas,” she said.
There are three prizes up for grabs this year including Judges Choice: $1000 cash, 1 x 18 seat Gold Class certificate, 20 cinema tickets and 4 Gold Class tickets, sponsored by McDonald’s and Regent Cinemas, Readers Choice: $500 cash and $500 in prizes, sponsored by Gold Bus and Stems and Charity Fundraiser: $600 in gift cards, plus a Matador, four-burner BBQ with trolley, sponsored by Bunnings.
