BALLARAT Pride pair Stacy and Gina McCartin, and elder sister Louise, will play at North Ballarat City next year after the club appointed mother Annie McCartin as head netball coach.

The trio have departed reigning premier Lake Wendouree, to join brother Simon at the black-and-whites.
Annie, who has stepped down as division one coach at Pride, said she thought that at some stage she would "come back to North" and welcomed the opportunity to coach at her son's club.
"I felt I was ready for the challenge. I thought, wouldn't it be great to be involved at North and not just as a parent but as coach," she said.
"I suppose, over the years, watching Simon play, I'd be coming to North Ballarat City one day.
"I had to weigh up a lot of things. I'm still involved with Brown Hill in the Ballarat Netball Association and I had to weigh up my commitments with the juniors there, but I've worked it out.
"I put no pressure on the girls to come here as well but, over dinner, they said they didn't want to play against a side I was coaching. They said if was going to North they would too."
Baddeley said the club had sought Annie as head coach to build on its steady improvement since joining the Red Onion Ballarat Football Netball League in 2008.
She said the club had managed to develop a talented group of young players and needed an experienced coach to capitalise on that progress.
"We've developed a good core of players and a good culture but I spoke with (club president) Stephen Darbin about how we needed a really good senior coach so that our talented young players wouldn't drift off to other clubs," she explained.
