The team defeated East Metro, scoring 7-110 before holding East Metro to 9-97.
Jenna Bruton performed exceptionally, making 55 for 49 and taking seven wickets for five runs.
That performance was followed by victory over North Metro at Albert Park, limiting North to just 6-88 after making 3-115.
Lize-Mari Mitchley was the stand-out in the second match with 53 runs.
Captains were announced yesterday, before the girls went into their double clash, with Sarah Tachell and Jenna Fowlie taking on the positions.
Coach Nicole Martin said the team performed exceptionally well together in the matches.
“We set goals that the team did well to achieve today, and we’ll just keep working towards them over the rest of the competition,” Martin said.
Today, the girls will play North East Knights at Coburg in a 40-over match.
They will then meet Northern Rivers at Plenty Valley for another 40-over clash tomorrow.
