Powercor say a possum had climbed into equipment on a power pole in the area, causing the large blackout.
For just under an hour, 3262 customers were without power.
Customers called Powercor to hear a recorded message that they were aware of the issue.
In February, a possum caused a power outage to 12,000 homes and businesses on Sydney’s north shore.
More than 30,000 volts coursed through the possum as it created a short circuit, triggering the system’s safety mechanisms.
Power distributors say the marsupials often use overhead power lines to travel and can sometimes create issues with the electricity supply.
