The pair was joined by headline acts James Reyne and Daryl Braithwaite for the first Lakeside Twilights concert at Lake Wendouree on Saturday.
About 1200 people flocked to a specially fenced area near the McDonald Bandstand for the event, which is planned to be the first of four in Ballarat.
Folding chairs and picnic rugs were the order of the day, as children ran around playing while the adults relaxed and listened to some of the best in Australian music.
While the Bull sisters sang in the background, Regional Touring’s Duane McDonald said the event was working out well.
“It’s great. I’ve been that worried,” Mr McDonald said.
“I kept looking at the weather app on my phone.
“We’re trying to do a mini-twilight thing in Ballarat with four other concerts this year.
“This one has been fantastic.”
A second Lakeside Twilight concert is planned for February 23 at Fairyland, with headline acts to be Ross Wilson, Dragon, Glenn Sharrock and Brian Cadd.
Mr McDonald said the third and fourth concerts were still in the planning stages.
