A favourite on the stages of the leading opera houses around the world, Dame Kiri has undoubtedly become one of the most acclaimed opera singers of all time.
But her special recital at Her Majesty’s Ballarat on March 23 will bring her renowned lyrical beauty back to the site of one the most important performances of her career.
“I am delighted to be returning to Ballarat for next year’s recital. The city holds special memories for me,” Dame Kiri said.
“It was there that I won the Herald Sun Aria in 1966, and this was a big influence on my decision to travel to the UK for extended study at the London Opera Centre which provided opportunities to launch my career.”
