Turf club chief executive officer Lachlan McKenzie said the day had a whole host of family activities.
He said that with Camp Australia sponsoring the day, a large range of children’s
rides and activities would be provided to ensure the
young ones were entertained.
“We’ll have rock climbing, football and cricket activities, face painting, pony rides, arts and craft,” Mr McKenzie said.
“And on top of that we’ll have eight races, so the mums and dads can enjoy the racing while the kids are entertained. There are horses trained by Peter Moody and David Hayes.”
Mr McKenzie said it would be a day to remember.
“I’m looking forward to seeing kids with their faces painted, on the jumping castle and playing with animals.”
Antonia Clarke-Thomas said she would be coming with her family tomorrow.
“I’m looking forward to playing some games – especially ones where I can interact with people,” the 10-year-old said.
She said she would be getting her face painted as a cat.
The first race will begin at 1pm, with gates opening at 11am.
Children under 16 have free entry, while adults are $10.
