Two thieves, one of which was on bail at the time, were arrested moments after breaking into the Sebastopol Pharmacy just before 3am this morning.
Police intercepted the pair, who were on foot, on nearby Beverin Street.
Ballarat Police Sergeant Andrew Osmond said the pair were carrying two bags full of prescription medications and tablets.
One of the men was released on bail, while the other, a 32-year-old Sebastopol man, was remanded and will appear in Ballarat Magistrates Court today.
