FIVE Ballarat-based clubs will be represented in the Ballarat Football League’s first regional state league senior squad that begins its campaign tomorrow night at Llanberris Park.

The Red Onion BFNL last night announced its final squads for the Central Highlands Regional State League season, the senior team including players from Lake Wendouree, Redan, North Ballarat City, East Point and Sebastopol, in addition to Melton and Bacchus Marsh.
The senior team, coached by Redan senior netball coach Kate McMahon, opens with a match against the Wimmera Netball Association at 8:30pm.
Before that, the 17-under side will take on the Wimmera Netball Association at 7.15pm. That team is coached by Bacchus Marsh’s Frank Pawlowicz.
“Our two sides are extremely excited about the start of the first ever Regional State League competition in the Central Highlands Region,” BFNL operations manager Aaron Nunn said.
The Central Highlands Regional State League competition will run for six rounds and will be followed by a round of semi-finals with the grand final on March 24 at the Wendouree Netball Centre.
