Neither Grant Kelly, 22, nor Michael Dawson, 20, applied for bail in Ballarat Magistrates Court.
In addition to charges relating to the Allan Brothers burglary, Kelly is accused of escaping police custody on Tuesday, sparking a four-hour manhunt in the Wendouree area.
Dawson, from Sebastopol, is accused of stealing $40,000 in jewellery and setting fire to a stolen car just days earlier.
A third alleged accomplice, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was also charged but released on bail on Tuesday night. All three were arrested on Tuesday.
In documents tendered to the court yesterday, police alleged Kelly was found in possession of a pole, hammers and a sports bag used in the course of the burglary.
He is also accused of assaulting a police detective and resisting arrest.
Appearing in the dock yesterday, Kelly did not apply for bail.
It is also alleged that Dawson, whose mother was present in court, had gone on a crime spree late last year.
He is accused of stealing a range of items including a rifle, a television, a camera and cash in two separate incidents in November and December last year. He faces two charges relating to the alleged Allan Brothers theft, while Kelly is facing four charges relating to the theft and a further three charges.
Magistrate Fiona Stewart scheduled Dawson to reappear in court on February 28.
