And even though the event could bring out the worst in some, it will be for a good cause.
The Carngham Crocs Cricket Club will take on the Carngham-Linton Saints Football Netball Club in a Twenty20 clash to raise funds for the Carngham Bushfire Appeal.
Carngham Cricket Club president Darcy Franklin said there were many residents in the area who were affected by last month’s fires and this match was one way the community could help friends and family who suffered during the disaster.
“The community has always supported the cricket club and the football netball club so this was an opportunity for us to do something in return,” Mr Franklin said.
“We live in such a small close-knit community and these community-focused events are a good way to keep the morale up and raise some funds at the same time.”
