Sound reasons not to relocate saleyards

I AM heartened to once again see the saleyards comment by correspondent Don Woodard, (February 14).

The letter echoes my sentiments in its entirety.

I have no personal interest apart from 60 years residence in the vicinity and a deep concern regarding the costly exercise in recent years to bring about change.

I am still curious as to what has brought about such a course of action to no real purpose.

An upgrade on this site could be no more costly than an exercise which has gone nowhere.

Many sound reasons against moving the saleyards have been repeated often by Don and others, including myself, to no avail.

Is it too late to reverse a very poor decision?
