Ms Hayden, who is a co-owner of Hayden Real Estate, was diagnosed with the disease nine-years-ago.
Since then Ms Hayden has been working to raise funds for breast cancer research.
“We have been one of the major sponsor of the Mother’s Day Classic for the past five years,” Ms Hayden said.
“I am going to walk the six-kilometre walk with my daughter. All my family and lots of our staff will be there.”
Ms Hayden and other Ballarat businesses like Athlete’s Foot, UFS Dispensary and Gems and Jewels are asking the city’s to get involved in the charity event.
The Ballarat event involves a six kilometre or 12 kilometre walk or run distances.
“Traditionally it has been a family event, but we are looking for businesses to come with their work families to join in the fight against breast cancer.”
All proceeds from the Mother’s Day Classic are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that promotes and supports research into breast cancer prevention and treatment.
Since its beginning in 1998, the Mother’s Day Classic has raised $14.8 million dollars.
