Crews were called to a car fire in Barkly St, Ballarat, around 7.45am.
Around 2pm, crews were called to a scrub fire in Sebastopol, which was contained soon after their arrival.
Ballarat City senior station officer Steve Poulter said the station was also investigating a spate of bonfires being lit around Ballarat.
“We’ve had a couple of calls in relation to bonfires,” Mr Poulter said.
“Just a reminder that fire restrictions are in place across the state.”
CFA fire restrictions began in Ballarat on December 23 and will continue until May 1.
Crews also attended a gas heater fire in Creswick around 4.10pm.
