HUSBAND and wife duo, Brett and Susie O’Neill will take on a 154.5 kilometre ride from Unley to Victor Harbour in an effort to raise money for cancer.

The pair have registered to ride in the Bupa Challenge Tour as part of the 2014 Santos Tour Down Under held later this month.
It was the same time last year Mrs O’Neill was diagnosed with cancer, and after surgery only nine months ago to remove the cancer from her aortic valve, she is determined more than ever to compete.
“It was through cycling that I found out I had cancer, it was through my heart-rate change,” she said.
After her recovery Mrs O’Neill has been in training for events such as these, with the cycling world happy to see her return.
“We do rides of 90 kilometres three times a week and some small rides to prepare.”
Known for their involvement in ironman competitions around the nation, the Wendouree couple said they were both looking forward to this year’s event.
