The 39-year-old is determined to walk from Melbourne to Adelaide later this year to raise funds and awareness for charity.
Ms Flynn said she hoped to raise $5000 for each of the three charities the walk has been dedicated to including the Starlight Children’s Foundation, beyondblue and Variety.
“I would like to raise plenty of awareness for three charities close to my heart,” she said.
“We will be helping children and families with equipment for Variety and I would love to be able to raise enough for a wish with Starlight.
“And beyondblue are encouraging Australians not to feel alone whilst going through a tough time, if they experience anxiety and depression there are resources out there to help, they helped me, you don’t have to go through life’s problems alone.”
This isn’t the first time Ms Flynn has attempted the 700 kilometre walk – after online bullying she was forced to end the first walk.
Now she is determined more than ever to finish this walk which will take place from June 1 to 26.
“My walk in June is about stand-
ing on my own two feet, supporters will support regardless,” she said.
“The support has been great rebuilding my strength and confi-
dence everyday with nearly 30 businesses supporting my walk.”
A sausage sizzle will be held at Zagames on Main Road on Saturday, January 11 with all proceeds going towards Megan’s Walk For Life.
Ms Flynn is also looking for a pet stroller to be donated for the duration of her walk which will be auctioned off after the walk.
