HEATH Pyke has been dismissed cheaply in Victoria's third game of the Australian Country Cricket Championships in Canberra.

Pyke, from Wendouree, made just two batting at number five on day one of the Vics' two-day encounter with Queensland.

The Victorian captain lasted 12 balls before being caught.

Today's knock takes Pyke's aggregate runs this carnival to 51 from three innings.

Victoria lost its opening two-day fixture against New South Wales before bouncing back with victory over South Australia under one-day format on Thursday.
