Ballarat can expect a partly cloudy day, with a top of 25 degrees.
But there will be a chance of a shower and thunderstorm this afternoon.
The mercury will drop to nine degrees overnight before a partly cloudy top of 24 degrees for Sunday.
POLICE
Ballarat Highway Patrol continued to investigate the death of a woman on the Western Fwy in Gordon last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene, about two kilometres east of Gordon, around 9.50pm, following reports that a woman had been hit by a truck.
The woman is yet to be identified.
The Western Fwy between Old Melbourne Road and Ballan-Daylesford Road was closed westbound from 10.25pm.
The provisional road toll for 2014 stands at 13, compared to six deaths this time last year.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a woman in the vicinity of the Western Fwy near Gordon prior to the collision to call police.
Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
FIRE
Ballarat City Fire and Wendouree fire crews were called to a car fire on Grevillea Road in Wendouree at 10.36pm last night.
The fire was extinguished at the scene.
Today Ballarat City Fire will send crews to Halls Gap to battle the 51,000 hectare blaze near the Grampians.
The Country Fire Authority (CFA) has issued an emergency warning for the Grampians Junction, Halls Gap this morning.
Residents have been advised to leave now before conditions become too dangerous.
The fire is west of Halls Gap in the Mount Difficult Range. There is still a threat to Halls Gap.
Spot fires and ember attack are possible into Halls Gap due to a spot fire burning in the Silverband Falls area.
Stawell Leisure Centre, 49-51 Houston Street is operating as a relief centre.

SES Bacchus Marsh was called out to assist emergency services during the fatality on the Western Fwy last night.
AMBULANCE
Ambulance Victoria had nothing to report overnight, aside from their attendance at the Western Fwy fatality.
