A HOLIDAY for most today.

So why not head to Shepherd's Flat for the Cricket Willow Cup twenty20 finals.

Four-time cup winner Wendouree meet's last year's runner-up Bacchus Marsh from the Gisborne District Cricket Association in the division one final at 3pm.

In division two at noon, it will be a battle between VRI Delacombe and Grenville's Carngham CC.

The division one winner will represent the Central Highlands region next year's statewide twenty 20 competition.

For those who have been to Shepherd's Flat, all you do is drive through Hepburn Springs to reach a relaxed idyllic setting.

AFTER hectic time for sport in the Ballarat region with the success of the Victorian Country Track and Field Championships, Ballarat Pacing Cup and Ballarat and District Golf Associaton 54-hole Open Tournament, the countdown begins to the next major events.

These include:

- North Melbourne Football Club community camp in Ballarat on February 6 and 7

- Herald Sun Tour on February 6 and 7

- Ballarat Gift on February 8 and 9

- NAB Challenge match between North Melbourne and Carlton at Eureka Stadium on Saturday, February 15
