The Melbourne woman, 35, was found dead in a collapsed tent at a property in Bonn Road, Rochester, about 9am yesterday.
The woman had been at the Got Milk Music Festival, a small event on a private farm which was attended by about 300 people.
A 24-year-old man from Westmere, near Lake Bolac, was bailed this morning after being charged with culpable driving, dangerous driving causing death, driving whilst under the influence of alcohol and failing to stop and render assistance at a scene.
He will appear in Bendigo Magistrates Court this Friday.
Paramedics were called to the festival about 9am on Sunday, but the Yarraville woman was dead by the time they arrived.
Organisers cancelled the event after the death.
