Gates opened at two o'clock before Ian Banks kicked off the show at 2.45.
He was followed by Russell Morris and Shannon Noll, before The Black Sorrows, The Angels and finally Suzi Quatro took over the stage.
A mist tent was operating for fans to cool down, where water was sprayed from the roof for people to have relief from the heat.
Jenny Poppe had visited the mist tent at least half a dozen times before it was even 4.30.
"We're sitting in the sun so I've been coming over lots. Hopefully we'll get some shade later," she said.
