Blue and Roo in town today to promote AFL clash

HIGH-PROFILE North Melbourne ruck prospect Majak Daw and Carlton swingman Lachie Henderson hit town at lunchtime, a day out from the Kangaroos-Blues NAB Challenge showdown at Eureka Stadium.

Both sidelined in rehabilitation from surgery, the pair are purely about promotion - but they might do a quick ground check for their teammates.

North Melbourne and Carlton's NAB Challenge match starts 4.40pm on Saturday with gates to open 3pm.

Their Victorian Football League affiliates North Ballarat Roosters and Northern Blues hit the ground for a pre-season match from 7.15pm - worth sticking around to see how each team's whole list is shaping up.

IN CRICKET, Central Highlands Pathways Program will host its annual presentation evening tonight at St Patrick's College pavilion.

The Presentation evening will conclude the Central Highlands pathways season and recognise outstanding performances during the Victorian Bushrangers and Vic Spirit state championships.

Awards will be presented within each age group for: player of the series, batting, bowling and fielding.

Junior state representatives will also be recognised.

Player of the series awards will be also presented for the under-13 and under-15 SportzBiz Junior Country Week and under-17 Kirton Shield competitions.

Winners will receive a $50 Jabaroo voucher from Cricket Willow.
