Social media has been abuzz today with conjecture the program will be filming at Sovereign Hill this week.
Filming will not take place today, despite rumours suggesting otherwise.
The Courier understands it will take place later this week.
Very few Ballarat people would be aware of it, but Running Man is one of South Korea's most popular television programs.
Drawing millions of South Korean viewers every episode, the game show features the hosts taking part in races and completing missions along the way.
Such is the popularity of the game show, it now often films on location outside South Korea.
However, the Australian filming trip is believed to be the first outside of Asia.
The show's hosts were swamped when arriving in Brisbane at the weekend and have been spotted in Melbourne today.
Sovereign Hill management declined to comment on the speculation.
