The Courier understands filming will take place soon.
Filming is believed to be scheduled for Sovereign Hill and The Courier is inviting readers to send photos of the cast and crew to cos@thecourier.com.au.
Very few Ballarat people would be aware of it, but Running Man is one of South Korea's most popular television programs.
Drawing millions of South Korean viewers every episode, the game show features the hosts taking part in races and completing missions along the way.
Such is the popularity of the game show, it now often films on location outside South Korea.
However, the Australian filming trip is believed to be the first outside of Asia.
The show's hosts were swamped when arriving in Brisbane at the weekend and have been in Melbourne for the past 24 hours, mobbed by thousands of screaming fans.
Fans have tweeted photos of the show's stars in locations such as Rippon Lea and Elsternwick today.
Some tweets have suggested the show's crew arriving in Ballarat this afternoon.
If you spot them, send your pictures to cos@thecourier.com.au.
