A 20-year-old man has been charged in relation to stabbing a man at Lake Esmond earlier this evening.
The man, who resides in Ballarat, received nine charges which include unlawful assault, assault in companion, assault and causing injury intentionally or recklessly.
He has been bailed to appear in the Ballarat Magistrates Court in April.
Police are still interviewing two other men in relation to the stabbing.
They are expected to be remanded in custody overnight.

THREE men have been arrested in relation to an alleged stabbing at Lake Esmond this evening.
Ballarat Police said a group of five people were looking for a lost pet near Lake Esmond when they were confronted by three men around 7pm.
Police said one of the men was allegedly in the possession of a large hunting knife.
The first suspect allegedly stabbed an 18-year-old man in the right hand, causing significant injury.
The second suspect allegedly punched a 17-year-old boy in the face and the upper body, while the third suspect allegedly punched a 13-year-old girl in the stomach.
The three men later fled to Clayton Street, but were arrested a short time later.
Police have seized the weapon.
Ballarat Police Sergeant Barry Hills said the three men aged 23, 20 and 22 were assisting police with their inquiries.
Ambulance Victoria transported the 13-year-old girl and 18-year old man to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition.
