Fire crews were called to a grass and scrub fire in Wendouree this morning.
Ballarat City Fire and Wendouree crews were called to the fire at Blind Creek Road at 12.25am.
Ballarat City Fire senior station officer Neville Collins said fire investigators were still looking into the cause of the fire.
Fire crews were also called to a string of power pole fires across the city overnight.
Ballarat City Fire responded to seven power pole fires, which were caused from dust accumulation during the warmer months.
Mr Collins said it was common for transformers on power poles to catch fire after spells of dry weather and rain.
Fire investigators will continue to look into yesterday's suspicious grass fire at Yarrowee Creek near Leith Street in Redan.
