DARREN Weir achieved a career first at Moonee Valley yesterday – landing his 50th metropolitan win of the season.
Weir had another double to maintain a firm hold on the lead in the Melbourne metropolitan trainers’ premiership.
His 50 wins have him 12 ahead of Peter Moody.
Weir ‘s wins came with Duble Barrel Daisy ($6.50) and stayer Gingerboy ($5.50).
