Prepare for rain later in the day today as the colder weather we have been experiencing continues.
Today we can expect a top of 24 degrees with light rain and wind starting in the late afternoon and continuing into the evening.
Looking ahead to the weekend it seems to be more of the same, with similar temperatures and more light rain.
POLICE
Police are still hunting two men who allegedly robbed a taxi driver with a sharp object yesterday morning.
Images of the men were released yesterday afternoon with police wanting to speak to the pair in relation to another incident of theft earlier on in the evening
The men were last seen driving an early model orange or red Mitsubishi Manga.
FIRE
It was a relatively quiet night for fire crews with only the one call out to a false alarm at the Ballarat Base Hospital.
However, Ballarat City Fire Brigade senior station officer Neville Collins said more crews were heading to the Morwell mine fire.
Mr Collins said crews were working on a two day rotation with firefighters leaving Ballarat every two days to provide assistance.

Nothing of interest to report from the SES.
TRAINS
Train services seem to be running on time with no delays to report across the state according to the V/Line website.
