Bridges, who also reached 50 games with the North Ballarat Roosters in a successful playing career, has joined the club as a mentor to new senior coach Jarrod Morgan.
He will aid player development and leadership in the non-playing role.
Morgan said he was looking forward to the partnership in his first year at the helm after taking over from long-time coach Joe Gilbert.
"(Bridges will be) focusing on a couple of areas with the group leadership and development of kids and also act as a bit of a mentoring role for me," Morgan said.
Buninyong began its path towards a third-straight Central Highlands Football League grand final on Saturday, defeating Newlyn by 39 points.
The Bombers now prepare for a clash with Clunes before the Easter break.
