Teachers at the school are running extra formal classes during all term breaks this year, with the study program being run in the first week of each holiday.
Students were hard at work this week attending classes for maths, science and English.
The classes involved revision and exam preparation, as well as completing other coursework to ensure they are ready for their end-of-year exams.
Visual communication and design students had a class yesterday with teacher Carol Clough.
Ms Clough said students had come in to work on their portfolios, as well as take some extra tutorials on skills such as Photoshop.
Student Xavier Hourigan was positive about coming in on his time off to get some extra help.
“I do an apprenticeship and I miss out on one-and-a-half hours each week and need to catch up,” he said.
Fellow student Audrey Watson was also happy to do some extra work rather than be out socialising.
“I think there’s a time for everything but it also needs to be balanced,” she said.
