Last time they met: North Ballarat City 15.13 (103) d Bacchus Marsh 6.9 (45), round 10, 2013.
NORTH BALLARAT CITY: The reigning premiers were almost faultless last week, suggesting their title defence is very much on track.
Captain Jason McNamara did not play in the season opener and is again absent from today’s line-up.
Marc Greig has no commitments to the North Ballarat Roosters this week and has subsequently been named on the half-forward flank while Marcus Darmody is another notable absentee.
BACCHUS MARSH: New coach Cam Richardson is hoping in is the dawn of a new era for Bacchus Marsh and this is the perfect opportunity for his young side to justify his hopes.
Richardson is battling a finger injury but is still hopeful of playing, expected to strap his ring finger to prevent further damage after he tore the ligaments from the bone in a practice match.
The Cobras have shown promise from their younger ranks in previous years, but have been unable to match it with the tougher sides in the league.
The task will not get any easier against North today, but Richardson feels his side is now up to the task.
