Another chilly day for Ballarat today with with a top of 17 degrees predicted for the city.
Some rain may pass through the city later today and might even stick around tomorrow when it is predicted temperatures will reach a top of 15 degrees.
POLICE
Be careful if you are driving on the Western Highway this morning as there are reports of nails on the road leading to several cases of vehicles with flat tyres.
Police are also appealing for public help to locate a missing 82-year-old Ararat man.
Charles Barnes was last seen driving along in his 1996 silver Ford Falcon on the Glenelg Highway about 3.15pm yesterday afternoon. .
Police have been told he was heading east on the highway towards Skipton in the vehicle, with registration NTW 023.
His family is concerned for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition which requires medication.
Charles is of medium build, has grey hair and was last seen wearing grey tracksuit pants with a navy blue stripe and a navy blue jumper.
Police also believe Charles may have his fox terrier dog with him.
Anyone who sees Charles or his vehicle is urged to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
FIRE
Fire crews had a pretty quiet night with only the one call out to a false alarm.
Firefighters took part in a training session in the evening as well.
AMBULANCE
A quiet night for local paramedics with nothing of interest to report.
TRAINS
Train commuters will still be travelling on coaches this morning with works on Regional Rain Link getting underway. Train services are expected to return to normal next week.
