A wet and windy start to the day today with temperatures expected to reach 16 degrees as the day goes on.
We can expect rain throughout the day with a chance of up to 20 millimetres falling throughout the region.
Tomorrow we can expect more of the same, however, temperatures will only reach 13 degrees.
POLICE
Ballarat police reported a quiet night, however, road and traffic statistics were released for the busy Easter and Anzac Day holiday period yesterday.
More than 8700 motorists were caught speeding during the 13-day period and a huge 22,331 traffic offences were detected on Victorian roads.
Today The Courier will obtain the statistics for the Ballarat region.
FIRE
Fire crews had a very quiet night with no call-outs.
However, they did have a meeting with the Police Major Collision Investigation Unit to learn more about how to deal with traffic accidents.
