One man has been arrested and another is still on the run following a pursuit in Gordon early Monday.
Upon arresting the 30-year-old Norlane man, police also seized a number of allegedly stolen items from inside the car.
The men were in a stolen car which was allegedly used in a petrol drive-off on the Western Freeway at Ballan Monday morning.
Police spotted the car in Gordon around 9am and initiated a pursuit on the Ballan-Geelong Road.
Police followed the car for several kilometres before the driver crashed it into a paddock.
The two men jumped out of the car and began fleeing on foot with the police air wing called in for assistance.
The Norlane man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

POLICE are currently hunting a man east of Elaine.
Police say the man escaped on foot after a short police chase on the Geelong-Ballan Road.
The police air wing has been called in to find the man who escaped from the vehicle on foot.
Another man who was also a passenger in the car has been taken into custody.
