Birmingham faces next assignment in US

COLLIS Birmingham has his next race in the 5000 metres at the Oxy High Performance Meet in Eagle Rock, US, later today.

He competes with fellow Australians Ben St Lawrence and part-time Ballarat based Brett Robinson.

Selma Kajan, who also trains with Birmingham and Robinson as part of the Ballarat Project will contest the women's 800m.

A fourth Ballarat Project member Ryan Gregson goes around in the 1500m.

Birmingham , Gregson and Kajan will then go to the inaugural world track relay championships in the Bahamas on May 24-25.


BALLARAT has its last dress rehearsal for the World Masters Rowing Championships on Saturday.

The state masters titles will be contested on Lake Wendouree.

This is the last opportunity for organisers to take a look at an event at the venue before the world championships on October 9-12
